When discussing a third party location for outings, volunteers should communicate the following:

Our Achievements

Our members have consistently demonstrated excellence in photography, with numerous accolades in the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) competitions. In the past decade, we have accumulated 35 gold medals, 11 silver, 6 bronze, as well as other categories, for a total of 128 recognitions. Our collective portfolio showcases a diverse range of styles, including landscape, portrait, documentary, fine art, and creative photography.

Proposal for Collaboration

  • Photography Session: Organizing a session where our members can photograph the organizations activities, environment, or events, capturing the unique aspects of their environment.

  • Social Media Collaboration: Utilizing agreed-upon hashtags, we can amplify both organizations' presence on social media platforms like Vero, Bluesky, Instagram, MeWe, and Facebook, enhancing visibility and engagement for both parties. We have very active social media platforms and our engagement, across our membership, is noteworthy.

  • Photo Sharing: Most members choose to provide the organization with a selection of high-quality images from the session for promotional or archival use.

Benefits for Organization

  • Quality Imagery: Access to a variety of quality photographs showcasing your organization.

  • Increased Exposure: Enhanced online presence through shared content and collaborative hashtags.

  • Community Engagement: Opportunity to connect with local photographers and the broader community.

Important Considerations

  • Image Licensing: Individual photographers may have different perspectives on licensing their work. While we encourage members to share a few of their favourite images from outings, Camera 35 does not require participants to freely grant licenses or accept specific shoot assignments. However, in our experience, a generous number of images are typically made available, reflecting the enthusiasm and creativity of our members.

  • Insurance Coverage: Camera 35 St. John's carries General Public Liability (GPL) insurance, ensuring coverage for our members during official outings.
